Disposition notice

On October 26, 2026, U.S. Magistrate Judge Stanley A. Boone ordered the Clerk of Court to terminate Defendant Experian Information Solutions, Inc. from this action. The order followed Plaintiff Joel Ramos Ayala's October 15, 2026 filing of a notice of voluntary dismissal as to Experian under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(a)(1)(A)(i). Because Experian had not filed an answer, other responsive pleading, or motion for summary judgment, the dismissal was effective upon filing and no court order was required. The court cited Commercial Space Management Co. v. Boeing Co., 193 F.3d 1074 (9th Cir. 1999), and Pedrina v. Chun, 987 F.2d 608 (9th Cir. 1993), in confirming that the parties are left as though no action had been brought against Experian.
