Disposition notice

On November 5, 2026, U.S. District Judge Dale A. Drozd of the Eastern District of California adopted the November 18, 2025 findings and recommendations in full and dismissed Dean Michael Stevens’s pro se Section 1983 action against Shuge Nite without prejudice for failure to prosecute and failure to comply with court orders. The order states that Stevens did not respond to a June 10, 2025 order directing him to file a second amended complaint within thirty days or to an October 10, 2025 order to show cause. The findings and recommendations were served with notice that objections were due within fourteen days, but no objections were filed and the objection period had passed. After reviewing the file and stating that the magistrate judge’s conclusions of law are reviewed de novo, the court found the findings and recommendations supported by the record and proper analysis. The Clerk of Court was directed to close the case, No. 2:25-cv-00785-DAD-JDP.
